“The recent wave of senseless violence in communities around the world – stretching from Orlando to Dallas to Baghdad and most recently to Nice – appears to have reached epidemic proportions and leaves a trail of grief in its wake. The Independent Anglican Church, Canada Synod stands with other Christian churches and all people of good will in calling for love, peace, justice and reconciliation. We must always remember that one injustice answered with another is not justice at all. We must also remember that every person killed is a child of God, regardless of their race, background or the circumstances of their death. I ask everyone in our community to do their part to promote understanding and dialogue.”
